Pit Bike Exhaust

Similar to a dirt bike, pit bikes were traditionally used at motocross events to transport participants through the staging section.  In the past ten years however, they have become an awesome way to inject some excitement into your day through the use of the pit bike itself for the purpose of racing. You should consider the pit bike as a kind of motorized bmx-style bike, and you will apply many of the same operational techniques when you drive it, including giving consideration to the pit bike exhaust.

To increase the bike’s performance, as is sometimes necessary when using such a bike for motocross, special consideration must be given to the pit bike exhaust system. You may wish to consider grinding the material that was used to weld the exhaust port and flange together. The reason this is beneficial is due to the fact that if the exhaust system were of an inexpensive variety, typically more welding material would have been used than was actually needed, which in turn, impedes the process of the exhaust system’s flow.

The complete muffler system can be upgraded as well, and if money is readily available for the project, this can be a cool way to feel like you are sitting on a brand new bike. The difference a pit bike exhaust overhaul will do for your bike cannot be understated. If you decide to go this route make sure you shop around and find the best price for your upgrade parts, and do not forget to inquire about guarantees and/or warranties from the retailer you purchase from.
